Mix Tape

Super fun and heavily evocative of the period-specific aesthetic of the app for which it was designed through the curated use of color, imagery, and artistic style, the logo for the '80s music app Mix Tape stands as one of my personal favorites.

viaEurasia (Redesign)

The VIA EURASIA is an ambitious, long-distance cultural walking route running from Canterbury in the UK to Rome, across Italy and the Balkans, through western Turkey to Demre on the Lycian coast of Turkey’s southwest. But as is often the case when many governmental organizations are involved with a common goal, their design language, imagery, and iconography was a garbled lo-fi collection of '90s looking web content.

Opening up their materials to a complete redesign and overhaul (see also: viaEurasia app redesign in Design Projects), they sought assistance in creating a new identity that spoke more effectively about what the route is, the locations it begins and runs through, and who it's for.

As their pre-existing materials made use of a dated but interest sparking binary flag icon, using both the European Union and Turkish flags, I was inspired to combine the iconography from each into an image more depictive of the route and partnership between governments itself.

The Path

PXL

Simple, bold, to the point. Crafting from the starting point of one of my current favorite fonts, Lexend Deca, this logo for a tech-focused ecommerce site plays effortlessly with the site's light, approachable but authoritative, modern design.

The square purple "pixel" suggests the missing letter I in placement, as well as itself calling back to the site's namesake, and utilizes the site palette's primary accent color.

Design Palette

Belgian Brewfinder

Exuding citrusy lightheartedness, copper-hued effervescence, and European styled typography, Belgian Brewfinder's logo simply feels like a good time waiting to happen.

Bass Clef

A personal project and the source material for the mother of pearl inlays on one of my instruments, as well as a tattoo, this mosaic themed bass clef combines a youthful graffiti/hip hop aesthetic with some of my favorite hues and a blocky, rough outline style common to street art the world over.

Brand & Style Guides

PXL Style Guide

Specifying and delineating brand voice, colors, photography, tone, typography and more is key to consistency over time, whether future changes are effected by the original designer or someone else.

Belgian Brewfinder Brand Book

More in depth than a style guide, Brand Books serve the same function and more. This one, produced for the Belgian Brewfinder responsive web app, specifies virtually every element necessary to maintain brand coherence and visual design.

Included are a full suite of typography specs including heading and body styles and point sizes, logo usage and assets, photography style, palette with HEX color values, iconography and button styles, copy styling, and sample app screens from different sized viewports/devices.
